Seven Magic Mountains

While driving from Salt Lake City, Utah to Newport Beach, California, my friend and I found this gem on the side of the highway. It’s called Seven Magic Mountains and it’s next to the Las Vegas Freeway. We just stumbled upon it and I freaked out. I have seen a few pictures of this place before on social media but had no idea where it was. Perfect timing because we needed to take a break from driving and stretch.

This part of the country was so new and beautiful to me. I had never seen the desert before so I was in total awe. It felt like we were in Radiator Springs from the Disney movie ‘Cars.’

To our surprise, there were unfortunately a lot of people there. We parked, grabbed our masks, and walked towards these enormous spectacles. They were so cool. The vibrant colors contrasted with the desert palette. It truly was a work of art. It reminded me of an artsy American version of a modern Stonehenge.

I was super excited I saw a cactus in its natural habitat.
